OXI Day is celebrated throughout Greece, Cyprus and the Greek communities around the world on the 28th of October each year. OXI Day commemorates the rejection by Greek prime minister Ioannis Metaxas of the ultimatum made by Italian dictator Benito Mussolini on 28 October 1940. With that being said, we all showed our support and appreciation to our ancestors for fighting hard and valiantly to ensure the future of Greece. We paraded down Danforth and it was a great turnout! Thank you to everyone who came!
